In past months, WWF was bringing up the subject of talking with Frank Shamrock of the UFC, and maybe signing him into the federation. WWF stoped talks with Shamrock as they didn't feel much progress was being made sometime ago. Ken Shamrock, who lives in CA, has been urging his brother to maybe step into the WWF for the past few months. Frank Shamrock will be talking more with the federation in hopes of any future deals. Frank Shamrock has a Middleweight Title defense against Jeremy Horn on the 17th of July at 'UFC XVII: REDEMPTION'. Beyond that point, things will be in question if Frank will venture into the World Wrestling Federation. WWF will probably pay Frank to a little less deal then what the federation currently pays Ken Shamrock.

After RAW went off the air Kane and Austin came down from the cage. Undertaker fouught with Kane while Austin went into the cage after Mankind. Austin stunned Mankind for the pin. After the match Austin did his usual stuff and walked out of the cage. He was half way up the ramp, but turned back to give the crowd more of what it wanted. Austin finally left and the"Fink" announced that WWF would be back in San Antonio in November for a PPV.

Luna Vachon came back into the WWF months ago. When she came back to the WWF, she signed a 2 year contract with the federation. Right now Luna is not being used in any major angles, and she is also in some indy federations doing some small shows. She plans on coming back to the federation during the end of the summer, and it is possible she will be getting more active. She will undoubtfully manage once again, but who she will manage remains a mystery to all. Look for Luna to come back again in late August. Also, Marlena will be coming back to the WWF in October. She may manage Dustin again, but that remains a mystery along with the WWF. Look for big things to unfold in the months ahead with the ladies of the World Wrestling Federation.

It looks like the June 29th Raw Is War will be a huge one. It'll be the night after the King of the Ring and the WWF is sure to put on a good show coming off of a PPV. Also it looks like the Edge and Steve Regal could both be debuting on this Raw.

Footbrawl '98 will be used as a marketing strategy to promote SummerSlam. I believe a Boston newspaper mistakenly reported that the Footbrawl show would in fact be SummerSlam but they obviously got it wrong. Footbrawl will not be televised, but due to the fact that it will feature many NFL players it will gain a lot of mainstream publicity for the WWF that will be used to market the SummerSlam PPV on August 30. This will be a similar tactic to what the WWF used to promote Wrestlemania this year, as Tyson drew lots of publicity, and the generation of minor TV coverage, such as when Kane beat up the Phoenix Suns mascot helped to get the WWF on mainstream TV even more, even if it was in a very minor way. Expect some of the NFL players involved in Footbrawl to feature in SummerSlam in some way.
